It's not claret and blue specs syndrome to say Brooking was better than Hoddle at all.

Re: Glenn Hoddle seriously ill
In my opinion Brooking was a better player. For a longer period in a proper league.
And certainly a better player in international football.
And didn’t buy his shorts in the junior boys section , perm his hair or duet with Chrissy ‘Chrissy’ Waddle

Not at the level of Brooking? Take those claret and blue specs off son.

How long before the footage of him collapsing like Tommy Cooper leaks out?

I like Hoddle. I pretty much agree with most of his opinions - apart from his bizarre religious views.

It sounds like he's on the mend and will pull-through.

Best of luck to him.

I’m guessing they won’t be playing that keepey uppey game on BT sports next week.

Sven what you’ve described there in any other culture is known as a genius. He didn’t fail at international level its just a fact we produced the types of player back then that struggled to except he was the lynch pin and they were the plodders as not many of them could use his genius. Also when he joined the French league their league was far more cultured where his style was far more suited and a joy to watch instead of the ‘take the cunt out’ attitude the English league has nearly always been.

Years ahead of his time for our league imho and this is from a cunt like me who despises Tottenham.

Spurs or not he was a good player and seems a nice man and I wish him all the best.

Sven Roeder 11:58 Sun Oct 28
Re: Glenn Hoddle seriously ill
He was a good player albeit an international failure. Who ran off to take it easy in French football when English football got too tough for him.
Not at the level of Brooking but in his mind he was Pele and Maradona combined.
Was reading that at Spurs if the manager gave him instructions that he didn’t like he just ignored them and did what he liked.
Talented but mentally flawed like a lot of English players.

Hope he survives though.
Just to see if his run of awarding man of the match in England games to a Spurs player can reach triple figures.

Vexed; you’re a proper fucking cunt and a totally unlikeable bell end. Your venomous keyboard warrior bile is unwanted by the vast majority in here.

Oh, and to top it all your fottballing knowledge is just as shit.

God: Glenn, you'll return to Earth and be ridiculed and hated by anyone that sees or hears you.

Hoddle: I'll accept my rebirth and try to live a good life

God: Rebirth? Nah mate, you've survived

He was a fantastic player, but his views on religion etc were a bit mental....I wish him well and hope he survives....if he doesn't,maybe we will see him soon as a disabled person watching the yids at there new ground..

Is Vexed pissed?

He was a great player and he is a decent pundit and I hope he makes a full recovery.

Hope he survives

Long enough to see Spurs & Chelsea get relegated again

Was reading that as Spurs manager he was described as ‘difficult ‘ by Daniel Levy. DANIEL LEVY!
He’d lost the England players even before his DISABLED rant sacking with his book after the 98 World Cup

Re: Glenn Hoddle seriously ill
Very fine player, although Spurs. A lot of kids on the playground wanted to be Hoddle as I remember. I actually like him as a pundit, got far more insight than most. Weird religious beliefs, but then again that's more than half the planet. Hope he pulls through.

Re: Glenn Hoddle seriously ill
Hated the team he played for and still do. Liked the player and was not bothered by him as a manager. For England, he tried to get us to play and went for a stupid statement which offended the PC lobby.
Wish him well.

Re: Glenn Hoddle seriously ill
Hoddle is a Yid cunt.

But, he was an exceptional footballer and a progressive thinking manager. Had he not come out with his silly reincarnation comments, I believe he could of had a really positive effect on English football with regards to our technical ability.

Hope he pulls through.
